I've been practicing blade sharpening. I'm harvesting long grass by hand in bunches pre history style using a long blade. My goal is to get it sharp enough that it cuts it seemlessly. I'm also learning the feel of edge alignment. And I'm less scared of live edges but I still don't fuck around. I'm comfortable enough to feel how sharp it is (and be able to tell) by scraping my finger against the edge, I can even check for edge continuity by gently running my finger down the blade parallel, that one scares me a bit, but it's the only way to know if the edge runs smooth or if it has problems./survival skills
