I'm watching Ocean Waves, an anime about "teenage loneliness", but it seems to be about the lonliness of life itself, I was scared to watch it because I was worried it would be too depressing, but it's very grounded so far, gives a realistic taste of the sadness of being surrounded by people, even having "friends", without much deep connection despite it.

@futurebird It's the same attitude of slavers at the time that black people were better off being enslaved, today they say it wasn't slavery and that they were indentured servants or were better off even if they were slaves, or that they deserved it anyhow. It doesn't surprise me.
