Let children learn what they want to learn, at the pace that suits them. Get rid of grades and the system where you're expected to learn the same things as everyone else, 90% of which you won't be using. Let children choose not to go to school if they don't want to, as long as they learn the basics like reading and writing. We force people to waste more than 20 years of their lives being educated, but the education isn't catered to the individual at all. Many could learn the same things much quicker, and many won't have a use for a lot of what they are taught.
When you're finally ready to get a job, they won't care much about your education either. It's more about what you can do. And if your potential wasn't held back by having to learn the same basic skills as everyone else and you could instead focus on what really interested you, you would be able to do so much more in what you really like. Instead, the years where you can learn the quickest are wasted in being the same as everyone else, and once you find out that doesn't get you anywhere, it's already too late to turn back.
So let children choose their own education, let them choose how long they want to be educated, let them choose when they want to work or play instead. Don't put them into a system that just brainwashes them in becoming office drones, never contributing anything significant to the world. And maybe if we can do that, and everyone would be doing what they are truly passionate about, we could get finally get rid of all these unnecessary jobs and too much bureaucracy.
This is coming from someone who always liked school by the way, I just hated when I discovered afterwards that it was just a trick to get me to become an office worker like everybody else, with no real purpose to what I have been taught. Can we get rid of nonsense like mandatory education and "office jobs" please?
