here is my stance on "contact" to satisfy the cop in ur head that some of u faggots are way too late on getting around to killing:
✳ i think sex between kids and adults is extremely fraught and generally dangerous. this is due to differences in mental, emotional, social, and sexual development, as well as (and i would say most importantly) differences in social power, autonomy of choice and movement, access to material resources, etc
✳ in other words adults have too much power over kids to be safely able to engage in or negotiate sex, and kids have too little power to safely and confidently say no and enforce that
✳ i am not going to frame this as "anti" anything like i am about to pull out a gun and become a cop over a philosophical disagreement
✳ i think an adult should never push or encourage a younger person to engage in a sexual interaction, as there is virtually no way to acertain whether or not that is consensual (it is always dubious)
✳ i think if a young person very sincerely believes that are able to consent to a sexual (or otherwise) engagement with an adult, then that is their own business and it is not my business or anyone elses to tell them otherwise. do not attempt to take away a young persons autonomy
✳ i think an adult should generally refuse to engage in advances from a young person who appears to have interest in engaging in sex even if the young person believes it is consensual. yet again, i am not about to pull out a gun over this, i am just wary of this generally
✳ here is the part that is going to get me killed: there are very clear and obvious differences between the physical and psychosexual development of a 17 year old and a 5 year old. if u try to flatten them out to the same thing, ur a fucking moron. 5 year olds very clearly have no capacity for consent to anything, and they are entirely at the mercy of people older and bigger than them. 17 year olds are effectively not distinguishable from 18 year olds in terms of physical or psychosexual development. yes there is an objective gradient. if u don't agree u are literally too stupid to be using judgement for anything and need to just shut up
✳ this doesn't mean it's ok for adults to have sex with 17 year olds. it does mean that it is about the same level of ok as adults having sex with 18 year olds, in terms of physical and psychosexual development. process that concept with great care before u make a judgment
✳ the big difference is that 18 year olds are, in the context of society, granted much more autonomy generally and especially autonomy of movement. for example, a 17 year old can be legally prevented thru the threat of state violence from leaving their parents house, and an 18 year old cannot. this is a huge and important difference, and is the reason an adult engaging in a relationship sexual or otherwise with a 17 year old is much more fraught and dangerous than with an 18 year old. in other words, yes there is a difference in capacity to consent, but it is due to social autonomy differences and not "brain development". if u disagree u need to do some more "brain development" urself
