‼️KOSA UPDATE ‼️The Senate Commerce Committee just passed KOSA out of committee with zero debate & failed to move the SCREEN Act.
To be clear, the Senate version of KOSA passed today is completely different than the House version that passed earlier this year, making it very unlikely to become law. The Senate knows this yet they are committing to the farce of acting on kids safety.
We need an overwhelm of calls going in to lawmakers this week. Take action now

My Mom got me a gift for being good and going to the dentist. I grew up with a wild west Internet that offered no safeguards for kids, and think today's kids ought to be entitled to the same environment. You know what we told kids? Don't use your real name on the Internet and don't meet up with anyone online. You followed those rules, your asshole was safe.
Did we still see sexy things online? Absolutely. But we also got exposed to that stuff as kids through traditional media. Austin fucking Powers was full of sex jokes, and that shit was PG-13. Which meant it was perfectly reasonable for, I dunno, 10 year olds? And everyone had seen Rocky Horror. So I mean, is it so much of a stretch for a preteen or a young teen to go sexting strangers online while pretending to be an anime girl? God forbid a kid going through puberty gets a little jerk off time in front of the family computer while everyone's asleep.
Today's kids have smartphones and don't have to stay up late to jerk off to Internet content without being seen due to the only Internet-connected device being in the living room. They are capable of enjoying the same experience without the sleep deprivation, but somehow them jerking off is a problem now?
