Lower taxes -> improve country. Not communism
Less government overreach -> improve country. Not communism
No censorship -> improve country. Not communism
I don't see your point ![]()
@realcaseyrollins @stux
Well, no. There are next to none commie policies that lead to a better country.

I agree with you there. Communism does not scale qell, but it can be maintained in the scale of..... FAMILY.
Maybe close friends, and potentially even a small village (30 people would be my theoretical cutting point). Anything beyond that becomes an arms race in stealing from the productive few.
@realcaseyrollins @stux
In family, you are taking from people you know and care about. Their suffering is known to you and they can be reasoned with. Problem with redistribution through government becomes unbearable the moment you do not see the effect of money being taken away for your benefit.
@realcaseyrollins @stux
Not sure if you expect me to go through the exact numbers, but no.
Most people, when they are offered free money for "not asking where it came from", they will take it.
Aditionally, money given by government is not money generated by the government. It is not even money taken from the rich. But is is amount of money that the guy who knows how to be productive cannot spend on generating even more value for people around him.
So I see no reason, why your example of a country should be different. I live in a small country too BTW, and there are groups of people who instead of working, know about every single social program, and how to fill applications, in order to get the most...
They simply do not care, because they do not see the work on the other side of their paycheck.
@realcaseyrollins @stux
btw, this rends me of an old meme I saw ages ago.
In here, I totally agree with Tony, but the comparassion is obvious. I seriously do not see almost any case of wellfare being used to help people who need it, while taxes hurt so many people who do not deserve it.
@realcaseyrollins @LukeAlmighty @stux Small societies are good from a competition of ideas standpoint. Ideas need to be observed in action and good ideas accepted.
When you have a competition of ideas, the odds become much improved that bad ideas will either never get implemented in the first place, or will eventually get replaced by better ideas.
The replacement processes and moderating influences are driven by several factors, including:
observation and discussion of ideas in other societies
peer pressure from other societies with good ideas
competition in the form of economic dominance by those societies with good ideas in action
You could learn about this by reading my Kindle book, but Amazon banned it
Of course a private sector is necessary but a communist or socialist public sector can work in a small society.
