Why is october a tenth month???
Octa is usually eight... I smell bullshit.

Nah... I'm too tired to research it.

Romans probably started the year on a different month and Christians changed it to make the start coincide with Jesus or something.
@LukeAlmighty i could be wrong but I've heard it's from the making of the calendar and Julius and Augustus Caesar. They had wanted to name months after the two roman emperor's however they did not want them to be at the end of the year so instead placed them in the middle before September thus we have July and August, the remaining months follow the latin numeric words, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, etc. That's at least what I have heard.
