1) yes, I do understand why antibiotics are regulated, since their misuse is literaly taking away from the entire humanity
2) yes, I do understand why recreational drugs and medications used to create recreational drugs are regulated.
But I know of no other reason to regulate medications. It seems so EVIL to me in every aspect.

Well, in case of antibiotics, misuse does in fact lead to global disaster. And a real one contrary to global warming.
but yeah, the war on drugs is stupid. I mentioned it as a "I get the point" sort of understanding. But that still leads to 90 percent of pharmacy regulated without a reason.

The case for regulation:
Because the average person is not informed about the drugs they take and how they work and will take 50 million things before finding one that works. I wouldn't put it past a modern person coming to a conclusion that they need to drink mercury despite knowing how toxic it is.
The case against regulation:
Regulation is based on known information so anything not on paper gets banned. There have been cases were people have smuggled illegal drugs to save their children or have grown mushrooms for relief from mental disorders. It seems unnaturally cruel to punish people who have some evidence that an illegal drug could save their life.
Final take: Governments have proven they give untested covid vaccines for free while they will make you pay for common established drugs like heart medication or insulin. Regulation can become flawed very easily.

Chlorine dioxide cures 99% of all diseases known to man. No need to "take 50 million" anything.
Why regulate any medicine? People will get it anyway. I just bought a bottle of a "forbidden" medicine from a dude on ebay.
If it's bad then it's bad for me, if it's good then it's good. It's self-regulated, why messing with people's freedom then?
