Fermi paradox

If life isn't rare in the universe, and some life can can develop technology, why cannot we see any interstelar civilization? Is it possible some barrier causes all civilizations to go extinct?

I would re-phrase to assumption that "infinite expansion is desirable.

But other then that I agree."

@LukeAlmighty The Great Filter is that every race obsesses over non-existent climate change so they never bother figuring out how to stop an astral impact.
