@LukeAlmighty "person with autism" sounds a bit negative and somewhat like "oh you poor dear" where "autistic person" is just "this is Luke, he's an autist."
I kinda like that the internet is starting to make "autist" popular again because that's just shorter and easier. [Also it's been that way in french and perhaps other languages for years now.]

People are mostly depressed for good reasons.
I've not met or even heard about anybody who was depressed despite being well resourced, well rested, spiritually fulfilled and having a good family life without major tragedy.
Calling it mental illness instead of an important cue that you need to make major changes to your life is the dumbest thing possible because then you wallow in it and stay depressed.

Any "SPECIALIST" that spends even a second thinking about if it's better to call you "a person with autism" or "an autistic person" knows shit about autism.
