BTW, my father did raise a child of another man too. But that was after he had 2 kids of his own.
I have nothing against the concept of raising a child of another man, as long as it does not take away from your own heritage.
ok, you've got a point. I could argue that maybe it was not clear from the beginning that the father was crazy, and his personality came out gradually over time. But it depends, hard to know how many women married assholes already knowing they were one

The case of "innocent woman escapes violent relationship" barely exists in real life. Either she's retarded and can't see red flags, which would make her a stupid and irresponsible choice for a partner. Alternatively there's a reason why she's beaten which would probably also make you want to beat her as well, again making her a stupid and irresponsible choice.

I do not agree in the slightest, and I find this position pretty cringe and partially blind. If a woman already has kids it means she was ready to commit, but thing didn't turn out well. Also here im thinking about all those mom and kids who escaped a violent husband/father, or cases in which the husband/father is dead. Do they not deserve to grow with a father figure, even it being not the biological one?
For obvious reasons I've never dated single mothers and never will, just stating my opinion
