@NEETzsche
What even is the point of fediverse, if people keep defederating based on the riniest of disagreements anyway?
@NEETzsche
I am not against the option. I get, why someone would want to block law-breaking sites, or especially poast.
The problem is, that each block slices through the total ammount of interactions significantly. And social media without any interactions is fucking Facebook.
@NEETzsche
About twice per year, I completelly clear my block list just so I can give a chance to anyone, who I might have blocked based on a "seriously bad day".
Because I am on a social media. And I hate to limit social interactions :D
@DrRyanSkelton @NEETzsche
I preffer smaller poast clones. Poast is the biggest free speech site, but that is why it will get on many block lists.
GLC on the other hand is small enough, that it does take a lot to get into such a list.
Well, I’d actually say the option to defederate is better than the option not to. The option to or not to federate with instances offers something in addition to free speech: free association.
