This is what happens when creators make something original. Remakes may suck in a lot of ways, but I’ll count my blessings.

@natsock
I am sorry, but I do not consider
"I got hit by a truck and woke up in another world with access to god-level magic" a highly original idea these days.

@LukeAlmighty
You’re right, but it’s definitively not a remake, reboot, or adaptation of a prior work.

@natsock
Yeah, it might be my bias, since I seriously love the idea of a franchise.

The idea of lore building up on itself from one game to another just makes me appreciate each game much more.

@LukeAlmighty
Same and I would be glad to have cool sequels that did that, but we don’t see much of that at all recently. Xenoblade kinda sorta. Metal Gear Solid is the most recent I can think of that firmly does it.

@natsock
Yeah. I remember the good times, when Star Trek and Star Wars used to do that... They both did it for decades, but nah, now, Star Trek just way too reboot happy. And you cannot build a 30+ years worth of worldbuilding out of nothing.

And new Star wars is shit.

@natsock
Honestly, it feels, like either the game will be the biggest pile of shit since Big rigs, or the marketing department for that game are sabotaging the game on purpose.

I took a look at the gameplay AGAIN, and the MC is 10 times faster, then enemies, while also having 100 different long rage attacks and even some AOE with stagger.

How is this supposed to be fun even after 15 minutes?

@LukeAlmighty
They at least stood a chance of getting Los Creaturos de los Americanos interested, but then they made the protag a woman lol
