I have just tried Redout.
The control scheme was made for a left-handed people, and the game doesn't even allow you to re-bind it.
What a scam.
@beardalaxy
I just got a huge need to play some Arcade racing games recently, and I've noticed, that the market seems completelly dead.
So far, the game that best scratches the itch is for some weird reason The Crew.
@LukeAlmighty cruis'n blast is pretty good, i played neodash recently and loved that as well!
although it sounds cheesy, the new hot wheels racing game was pretty fuckin good too.
@LukeAlmighty i tried playing redout a long time ago, around when it first came out, and just found it butt fucking hard. coming from someone who has essentially 100% completed wipeout omega collection and loves f-zero gx despite its ball busting difficulty, something about redout was just not working very well. can't remember exactly what it was after so long but yeah.
in terms of futuristic racing games that have come out in recent memory, wipeout omega collection is awesome but only available for ps3-ps5, so i guess maybe you could emulate the ps3 version.
fast rmx is really good. you can emulate either fast racing neo on cemu or fast rmx on switch, they're pretty much the same game.
and for a more classic wipeout experience you can go with ballistic ng. that game is awesome and they're always putting out free content updates.
i wish there were more games closer to f-zero than wipeout, because most seem to lean to the latter, but aero gpx is being developed right now and is fucking awesome in terms of being just like f-zero. it reminds me of a mix between x and gx, with some new mechanics in there as well. the demo is up on steam, it's in alpha right now.
