This is as wrong as it can be. While it is "creative", it seriously doesn't care about correctness of any fact it writes. An "expert opinion" is the last thing you should ask it to provide FFS!!!

It is so much more then a chatbot.
The technology of neural network is the essence of scientific method written in a mathematic form. When it comes to things like guessing the best action to acomplish a numerical task, it is unbeatable.
The problem with textGPT is, that is is guessing, what text will look the most natural. That's it.

There will be strong domain specific neural networks. But they all have the same weakness. If you can't explain why they are doing what they are doing, what good are they? How can you make any important decision and have the explanation be "because the neural network said so?"

As long as it's correct more often then a human expert (read coinflip), then I'm ok with it.
I can imagine researchers using it to write conclusions and abstract for them. Or pasting in some notes and asking it to write a background section. But that's it.
The thing is that researchers normally don't normally put any effort to be correct in those parts anyway unless they're writing a survey.
