@nukie
Entire game studios go bancrupt, when they get the smart idea of making their own engine.

So, no. I am all for the modern era of pre-made engines.

@LukeAlmighty @nukie Also, when the gate keepers are trannies, it's time to bring out a siege engine.
@LukeAlmighty @nukie Game studious are not going bankrupt nearly enough, making what amounts to reskins of the same game, it is amazing that is finding any customers.
@LukeAlmighty Same crap they say about Unity, many people are making shit games since the entry bar is low, it's filling the market with chaff.

That's not the engine's fault though.
If anything, the Epic Games Unreal engine asset giveaways are the issue, because you see screen shots of a good looking game, and when you load it it's a janky mess, made by a couple of Chinese dudes.

"Eternal Evil" is a good example, one Russian dev, a bit janky, but one of the nicer ones in this category.
I recommend by the way, but still a bit misleading, so don't get your hopes up too much.

And for every game that's half good, there are a hundred not worth your time to even look at.

@diresock To be honest, I don't even think it's the assets. I think, that it's the default material.

The default material is set up so well, that noone has a reason to touch it, unless they want to stylize the entire game away from the (10 percent cartoonish photorealism.)

I don't even use youtube now because I hate the hot takes that are thrown to me by the algorithm.
