People "above" us are not superhuman and expecting them to be is just stupid. It's also counter-productive because it forces them to act the part and nobody can do that. Also, this makes the "above" seem untouchable and that is most definitely not the case.

I mean, just look at world leaders. Very few of them are people you'd want as your neighbours. Most of them are psychopaths
