BTW, I am a huge fan of visual storytelling. Even a slightest of details make the difference between the world being alive and it being slop. It is a known fact, that the bending styles were inspired by martial arts, and this demonstration is perfect for showing why that made so much difference.
pinacle of an example.

The lightning in the show was always treated as a dangerous art, that can hurt the user. It cannot be held, only directed. And the visuals had to show that
1) Azula is pointing. Her fingeris slowly sweaping through the air in the oposit directions slowly gathering the charge from the environment. She is "scooping" the lightning, but never golding.

2) The only part, when she actually stops moving is, when she puts her fingers together to finally direct the bolt away from her. Before that, she had to go with the flow.

And now, compare it again to the shit above.
The summoning of lightning itself was instant. She does NOT need go gather it. After that, she holds it in place for several seconds to show to the audience, that the blue balls are harmless.

Only after the blue balls are shown to be harmless, she starts the dance, that is NOT increasing the lightning in intensity. Then she puts the fingers together. Again, with no lore reason I can see.

That is followed by the only real piece of visual storytelling I actually saw in this cliip. She looked at her hands for a moment. That implied, that she was actually surprised by the result. Although, I do know that was not the intention.

So, after she played with the blue balls for so long, she finally throws them at the temple.

What a disaster.

@LukeAlmighty man azula looks so soft and baby faced. she needs much more angular features. that's a bummer. she looks more like ty lee. sozin is pretty good.

@beardalaxy
Absolutely. She looks like someone stole her lunch money, not like someone with a drive for power.

Also:
I'm sorry, but while she was standing there for 30s, all I was thinking about this. Good luck casting, when a normal attack lasts ,5s

@beardalaxy
Also.......
I love the fact, that she has to check that the lightning is actually there. After casting for 10s, she actually looks at her hands, because she cannot believe it worked :omegalul:

@LukeAlmighty yeah it did kind of take a stupidly long time lol, really hammed up for dramatic effect. Lightning was always a super quick thing in avatar.

@LukeAlmighty Forehead-girl looks like she suffers from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, asian version.

@LukeAlmighty lmao I forget about the live action DBZ. I guess it's just so bad that my brain just tries to not think about it ever.

Now the real question is which movie is worse?

Thunderbirds
Madame Web
Morbius
Dragonball Evolution

Now just wait Morbieus is a masterpiece which would have only been made better if nicholas cage was Morbious
Had they cast Nic Cage as the main role the mivie would have done at least 100x better
@sjw @LukeAlmighty Ya know

If you ignore the source material
Morbius wasn't TOO terrible
It wasn't "great" but again as a "stand alone movie" it did its job

It's like its the equivalent of the Ghost Rider movie
Its not great in any sort of manner
It only has its points because of Nick Cage
Had Johnny Blaze been casted by anyone else, we'd have to google the damn thing when someone mentions it
