I used to think a lot, that I had damaged hearing. I even went to a doctor to make sure, but my results were ok...

And only receltly, I learned, that most of our hearing is based on prediction. On our brain just assuming what each noise meant.

@LukeAlmighty i know for a fact i have damaged hearing lmao. but yeah it's all context clues and prediction when it comes to what people are saying.

given that this is a group of people chanting, i'm assuming it's "that is embarrassing." some of these don't make any sense to chant unless you were specifically trying to throw people off xD

the interesting thing here too is that depending on which one you follow, it changes what accent they have.

@LukeAlmighty I definitely have issues with this, although my hearing is definitely bad (tinnitus) I apparently do quite fine with the hearing tests at work. However, I'm absolute trash at making the sounds, and then connecting the sounds to words. Sometimes (rarely) I even hear perfectly well and can repeat what someone said word for word just by mimicking the sounds but just can't connect that to the words they represent.
@ForbiddenDreamer @LukeAlmighty Am I the only one who doesn't struggle with this video they are saying "That is embarrassing"
I didn't let any of their suggestions cloud my judgement, and it was really obvious that's exactly what they were saying.
