@LukeAlmighty i am a lot more interested in this headset than i have been pretty much everything else. i did have a PSVR a couple of times but it was big and clunky and i hated needing to set it up every time because you had to do a bunch of shit with the HDMI and USB and a separate power brick and it was just a ball ache. so i never used it when i had it and ended up selling it. bought another one mainly to use on PC because it was technically the cheapest at the time, but again, it is just too cumbersome.
so i'm glad that vr headsets these days are just wireless, low profile, and standalone. if valve can price theirs similarly to the meta quest, i might be tempted. i definitely would trust valve over meta lmao.
@LukeAlmighty it is a little bit funny how fast innovation in VR has completely killed vr arcades. i know a guy who used to run one and the business lasted only like two years max because it quickly went from being worth it to just pay to rent vr equipment for a little bit, to just saving that money for like a few paychecks and then never having to rent it again.
