I know this is a me problem, but at some point, I have to post my thoughts on it.
I am not non verbal. I am far from it. But there are some things, that just don't have to be verbal in the first place. For instance, imagine this:
A cashier is on a phone talking to her friend. I don't want to bother her, so I look at her signaling, that I don't want to bother. I do a thumb up etc. All to say, that the payment was good etc. I do not want her to ruin her discussion on the phone. YET STILL, she says "THANK YOU, COME AGAIN" at full volume. Why ignore all the work I've put into telling her it's ok to keep talking on the phone? It just makes the entire situation awkward.
I'm not confirmed 100% but I'm also a woman, but it's so traumatic to be obviously not NT even at the workplace. It's like damn, it never ends. The constant performance :acat_screamangry:
