Power scaling is a legitimate part of world building, but the Death Battle retards give the whole thing a bad name because 1) they take ridiculous outlier feats and just run with them to the point where half of the Marvel and DC roster can blow up the multiverse and 2) they completely ignore anti-feats and negative outliers.

As far as I'm concerned, outlier feats should not be considered legitimate unless they're story relevant AND are replicated. For example, sub-500 power level Dragon Ball characters blowing up the moon is a ridiculous outlier compared to everything else these characters do - however, since it happens twice, AND both instances are story-relevant and have lasting consequences (not gag moments) you have to accept them as legitimate representations of what the character can do. They also line up with 18 000 power level Vegeta being able to blow up earth.

Speed feats are if anything even worse, because of this claim that combat speed has NOTHING to do with travel speed (which would otherwise completely debunk various outlier feats).

@ChristiJunior
Yeah, powerscalers can obviously use retarded methodology, and ignore the point/true nature of some feats.

On the other side though, if you can look at this and not see how it ruined the entire rest of the series, then you literally need to hire consultants. And I cannot believe, that I am even writing such an idea. But yeah, power-scaling consultants should be a thing.

@LukeAlmighty It wouldn't even require a suicide attack. Droids can pilot a capital ship. Just hook up an astromech, aim a blockade runner at the latest Death Star, flawless victory.
@judgedread @LukeAlmighty

It's my understanding that the rebels were so badly outgunned that suicide attacks from every ship they had would not have even made a dent in the imperial forces.

I have an old lorebook from the 1990's that says the imperials had 25,000 Star destroyers, 13 Super Star Destroyers and about 80k Nebulon B Frigates.

The Rebel alliance commanded about 2,000 total capital ships in contrast. Most of which were Captured Imperial vessels, and about 60 Man Calamari Cruisers which were not even a 1:1 match against an Imperial II Star Destroyer.

The only advantage they Alliance really had was in starfighters, with the defection of Incom and their X-wings giving the rebels their one real edge.

I miss the old Star Wars stuff. I still have the old West End RPG books floating around somewhere (terrible game system by the way, but they had huge amounts of lore in the books, and included reference notes for where they got it).
