That is what firing people is for... If your employees are costing you reputation of the entire company, you can do 2 things. Fire them, or confirm to entire world that they are acting with your blessing.

I am sure of the second part, since if they understood the basic fears, they would at least try not to sount ultra authoretarian on the internet freedoms.

But I cannot tell, if they are truly terified or not. It seems they are, but what would be the thing that scares them so much??
