Well, everyone was conseal carrying already, so I cannot take that argument.

But there are hundreds of quality of life things, that noone can argue. Brooms are awful. Add a seat and a carrying bag to them FFS. And how about a roof? Do you REALLY want to fly without a roof in rain? How about in blizzard?

In short, statisticians are retarded.
You can calculate what will happen 99.99 percent of the time, but if you keep some cchance for the worst outcome, given enough attempts, the combination of the worst possible imputs will happen at once.
