@icedquinn @moffintosh
I loved that learned helplessness lessons, because while it didn't break me, there was a much deeper lesson of "the system hates you" in there, that the boomers didn't know they teach.

@moffintosh some dong dinger will be like :blobcatphoto: BUT QUINN actually according to the macfuckerson index the amount of goodness is up a billion points compared to 1873 and its like

okay but passports didn’t even exist. you could just fucking go to europe if you had the means to do it. hell you could go to america as long as you could book passage. the state didn’t fucking monitor you in your house 24/7 with smart devices and the distant concept of stasi-esque shit was seen as reprehensible.

last year’s unfathomable treason is today’s daily occurrence. :blobcatshrug2:

@moffintosh i saw gen x people who had six figure salaries just up and walk away from their jobs after being workaholics their entire life and just drank away whatever money they had left over from it.

different gen x who didn't even work in tech also just up and walked from his job one day. no idea why.

in both cases their wives immediately left them too.

its weird with x because they haven't been shit on their entire lives the same way as millennials. i can understand why we do it (we've been told our entire lives we're spoiled, entitled, whatever discrediting statement to gaslight us in to believing asking for the same shit everyone else got in their life is wrong somehow) but it's not just affecting them its happening everywhere.

people are just shutting down

Some day (probably on a weekend) I’d like to do an experiment: describing everything I’d do during that 24-hour period in real time and in excrutiating detail. I have the theory that it would be more interesting than what I usually post.

@dave
Thanks, I know the official anwser.

But weather modification is a well known scientific discipline that does have many applications of atmosphere modifications. The mere fact they don't do it publically doesn't mean they don't do it at all.

Wiki:
In the early 2000s the USAF released an undated fact sheet that stated the conspiracy theories were a hoax fueled in part by citations to a 1996 strategy paper drafted within their Air University titled Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025. The paper was presented in response to a military directive to outline a future strategic weather modification system for the purpose of maintaining the United States' military dominance in the year 2025, and identified as "fictional representations of future situations/scenarios."

@dave
Also, it is so unbelievably convenient, I am seriously starting to wonder, if the conspiracy theories about chem trails controlling the weather might be true.

I think if feminists are discussing politics with other feminists then there should be no way they should be able to block other feminists because they are are raving bonkers

@RikaDerufu
That part meant nothing to me, since it didn't matter to the point of the episode. Neither of them had any choice.

@dave
Yesterday, I was like: 5 more degrees, and I might go swimming.

And it should be frozen right now :omegalul:

@RikaDerufu @WolfJay
The point of the episode is, that people will work their entire lives only to end up enslaved by the capital.

Both the guy and the girl lose both their dreams as soon, as they get offered a better cell. (while still remaining enslaved)

@KonataWagner @WolfJay @RikaDerufu
Shut up and dance is incredible.
But I just cannot force myself to watch the series itself, since most episodes do end with literally unfinished premise.

It's like watching firework spark disappear, the rocket rises to sky.... and no explosion follows.
