Simply said, the lesson from Discord and Reddit is obvious. You cannot get rid of moral puritans. And they will lie/bribe/sweettalk as much as it takes to get the power to ban people.

So, that is inevitable. But the mere existance of healthy servers is an achievement worth celebrating. Looking at blocking as a problem seems seriously negative considering that 99 percent of internet is incapable of the state fediverse is in now.

The problem with data is, that unless you see something you do not expect, you have no reason to question it. And the covid numbers are now manipulated to such an extend, that even a realy smart people will see exactly the numbers they do expect from the media reporting...
