@Some_German_Guy @justinerickson @LukeAlmighty @WashedOutGundamPilot The real problem is that wages =/= productivity and have been diverging continuously since the gold standard ended, which was itself caused by inflationary debt-based economics. Losing the gold standard simply took the brakes off by allowing the wage-productivity disjunction to finally happen. The housing market is a symptom and nowhere near the actual problem.

All these posts are spot on that the jobs don't pay for what they're worth, and basic economics actually proves this: if labor demand goes up, wages go up. If the labor supply is large, demand is low, so wages don't go up. We're seeing a national 'soft strike' to dry to push the wages up, and the kikes are only too eager to use both parties to prevent a correction.

@justinerickson @LukeAlmighty The world has changed significantly. The kids can rightfully be ragged on for a good amount of laziness and apathy, but if you grew up outside their generation it’s hard to understand their mindset.

No church, no real purpose, no moral code other than generic pop culture niceties. The boys raised exclusively by absent (if any at all) fathers and socialized to act like women by a never ending stream of female teachers and obsessive mothers.

The girls taught that the highest virtues a woman can express are imitations of masculinity - ambition, abrasiveness, selfishness upheld as the bar of feminine excellence - and all of them thrown into an economy bearing nearly 100 years of red tape, regulation, and law standing in the way of their careers.

The kid is too young to take serious interest in. He trolled the game awards, and that earned him infamy.

And I don't know where he said it either.

@justinerickson @LukeAlmighty Self-fulfilling, too. So many of our parents never ‘got’ why everyone was single, even when they had careers and a future. Doesn’t matter if you’re a med resident, you’re earning $22k a year and living like a pizza driver, that’s a hard sell to stupid women…..and a whole lot of ‘em are real dumb.

@Fullmetal4456
I would call that the cheapest dumb shot possible... But he had fucking hit the mark so fucking well.

There's a really complex dance going on. In 2021/2022, people just needed workers. Signs were up saying they'd get sign-on bonuses and get paid $14 or $16 .. but at the same time, they needed to keep workers who were getting $11/$12 before Scamdemic-flation.

You hire someone for $15 just to fill a spot and all your $11 are like "Why are they getting $4/more when I've been loyal." So they leave. A lot of these owners can't afford to hire someone else at that price, so they gotta squeeze people for more hours. People who leave quickly find out that $15 at the new place ... also are asked to work 50~60 hours/week. They need the money, because inflation is insane. (hence this is why you have that screenshot of the person getting fired for discussing income ... shitty, but that's why).

In the small town I lived in last year, I knew gas station owners who were working 80+ hours a week because they couldn't find staff they could afford. Remember: low unemployment is really good for workers. Smaller pool meaning shops need to pay a good price. But with the jumbled up scamdemic+inflation, you have a weird people shuffle that kept driving up wages .. wages a lot of shop owners couldn't actually afford (because unemployment was actually high), leaving them understaffed and just picking up the work themselves to keep the business afloat until they could afford workers again.

They cycle is just gonna get worse, because the current market isn't remotely natural. It's been propped up by printing money, reducing limits to unemployment and devaluation across the board. Now Former Vice President Biden has hired a small army of IRS agents and dropped the hobby income ceiling from $10k all the way down to $600, and wants everyone from Venmo, Cashapp and PayPal to report the same crap Square and Credit Card processors report! His handlers make him say he's going after the rich, but really this is part one of individual social credit scores (use more cash and Craigslist kids!)

Anecdotal: my HVAC just went out a month ago. I got a tech recommended by a friend (actually a high school classmate's dad). HVAC was almost 20 yeas old and had holes in the heat ex changer, but I was able to get a replacement that week and he had a crew of three for the install. They were fast, and also seemed to have other jobs lined up. 🤷‍♂️

@PhenomX6
I remember interview for a bank, where I went through all the steps, and only after that, I got the chance to hear their pay offer.

I said "no chance", and their faces froze. It was such a unique experience, I will never forget it in my life. They have never heard someone say "no".

thinking about the time I went to apply for a job and the boomer ass boss had a meltdown because I wasn't there for the interview on the dot, had resume gaps, and wasn't wearing fancy ass clothes.
I made Japanese curry and damn, who would have thought I'd like it? Honestly, Asian tastes are kinda weird, everything's slightly sweet and alien to me or has some very sharp or exaggerated tastes.

But yeah, I added too much water initially. I had prepared some chicken stock and added that and half water, but it seems I needed quite a bit less water so I just did what I could, I simmered it until it turned to the texture I wanted. I mixed the Japanese curry paste myself since I have all possible condiments maybe except nutmeg.

The vegetables didn't turn to mush despite simmering way more than what was provided in the recipe, so all's good. :ina_pat:

@WashedOutGundamPilot
This happened to me with fucking programming.

14 years of IT education was almost flushed down the drain, if I didn't find a job, that was close enough, to appreciate the knowledge. (testing)

@WashedOutGundamPilot
This one is the most painful one.
I am not stupid, I can count an estimate of what value I am creating during the day. And when you compare it to the price of home, your blood starts boiling.
