1) Do the Jews understand the identity politics and the concept of 2 identities.
2) Are they capable of understanding, that slandering one identity will hurt it?
3) Do they understand, that running to the 2nd identity after hurting the first is an aggressive act?

4) And if all 3 are correct, please, how am I supposed to not assume malice?

Well, considering, that I can barely imagine such an event happening to me, I could clearly see it being 85 percent of the decision.

And yes, what you described can be a way to pay for it, but only as a logistical way of doing the main objective.
