@stux @LukeAlmighty the biggest problem with being "respectful" is it's a vague and subjective term. Anything can be disrespectful. Is criticising someone's religion disrespectful when that same religion is by its nature disrespectful to the person in question? Is refusing to use someone's preferred pronouns disrespectful? Is swearing casually at no one in particular automatically disrespectful to anyone that hears/sees it? Where is the line?

Freedom of speech rarely fits into a code even if discussed in "polite terms" - Youtube's terms of service now forbids suggesting the US election was fraudulent. Criticising your government, it seems, is irredeemably "disrespectful" too.

People are also realizing over the last 18 months just how little power and say so in their lives and communities they actually have.

@Akirayuki_coda it's all the same thing. The only reason I do sex toy reviews is that it's the only content YouTube allows.

You can't help people without talking about subjects that cause offense, and we live in a society where reviewing sex toys is less offensive than talking about the actual problems in society.

Plus I get free sex toys, so that's a plus.
