@rasterman My honest opinion????
Being Jewish in custom is very, very similar to rocking an outdated operating system, but demanding that everyone around you makes compatible software to it and you are the clear minority.
Being Jewish is literally being Microsoft Windows, and yes there was a time where Windows was everywhere.
Now Linux is everywhere (I guess in this illustration that makes Linus Torvalds Jesus, yeesh!)
MacOs is Linux based, Android is Linux, Ubuntu is Linux.
Christianity is Linux, Jesus is saying "Yo, I don't care if you have Black customs or White customs, you can keep those...just follow these basic commands...love your neighbour as yourself...etc"
The Jewish Christian community is fluorishing right now, beign less and less intimidated by their Jewish relatives (I guess the OS comparable here is PowerShell or WSL, heh).
---------------
So I think I answered my question, but to be clear.
I don't see Judaism as a religion persisting without it's Rabbi/Pharisee class strongarming its persistence using monetary and political influence.
Without the monetary and political influence, I think you would just have Jewish Christians.
And I say this because the Igbo Jews and the Lemba Jews in Africa had neither monetary nor political influence, and quite a few of them accepted Jesus when the colonizers came.
