Well I don't see it as purely as a medium to store video. What about family content ? Personal content ? Don't you want to make a backup of your photos ? Or share them to someone of your family ? that would make a second copy and that would reduce the probabilities of loosing data. And I'm not even speaking about the privacy enhancement.
