@MischievousTomato It’s a tradeoff. On a more heavily moderated site, you accept that you have to moderate your behavior somewhat, with the benefit being that you are extremely unlikely to end up interacting with the types of people that don’t.

The problem with being on the internet is that the more you’re on it, the more likely it is that you have limited IRL social circles, and the same is true for the other people on the sites you end up being on.

And while people with limited IRL social circles can still be perfectly good people, there are some people that have limited IRL circles because they’re just shitty people, and these people tend to gravitate towards moderator positions because it’s a degree of control over their circumstances that they will never achieve IRL.

This, by the way, is a big part of why Digg died, and why reddit has the shitty reputation it does now. Can it still be an enjoyable website? Absolutely, yes. Just realize that there are tons of teenagers on it, many of the big subreddits have troons moderating it, and thus you’re far less likely to get banned for commenting in some fucked up porn subreddit than you are for commenting in a gender critical one.

REPORTS OF A ANTI IMMIGRANT RIOT IN THE ENGLISH CITY OF LIVERPOOL OUTSIDE A HOTEL THATS HOUSING IMMIGRANTS!

People are shouting "GET THOSE NONCES/PEDOPHILES OUT!".

A police van has been set on fire and the riot pigs are out with shields and batons to suppress the crowd.

Not long before the protests foreign men were reported for accosting young White girls in the area which contributed to the outrage.

The event was apparently caused by crowds of people protesting outside of the hotel demanding the foreigners be cleared out with media describing the crowd as Fascists. This comes after a large increase in anti migrant protests successfully shutting immigrant housing schemes across the UK aswell as many similar protests/marches in Ireland.

A group of antifa pro migrant types have been reportedly surrounded by the protestors who have broken through the police lines. Care4Calais tweeted: “We are trapped in the car park, surrounded by hundreds of far-right protesters who have broken through police cordons.”
