I hope Trump's plan to end online censorship includes payment processors, because they like to police speech and expression by refusing to serve websites that contain "objectionable content."
I think creatives especially should be hoping for this because it seems like every other week there is some issue with this.
Trump saying that anybody over the age of 18 should be able to opt out of any sort of content moderation is really awesome though. I hope it ends up going through.
@beardalaxy this is the big thing that I hope he does because if he doesn't go through with this once he gets out of office they will do everything in their power to make sure that they never lose again and spread their propaganda on every corner of the internet to oppress us and make sure that we can never exist.
I am feeling hopeful though because even though the video of him was made almost a year ago Elon musk tweeted it out and said this is what we're going to do so hopefully Elon is really in talks with him, and make sure that this happens because it would monetarily benefit elong in the long term because we know Europe is trying to censor him.
@Mr_NutterButter i think his failure to get social media under wraps during his term is what ultimately led to his loss in 2020.
