@igeljaeger @fence They are literally correct. Now open your mouth and start sperging out and hope she finds it cute.
@matrix Can't even commit a good old-fashioned act of armed terror without being labeled a gamer these days. FFS.
@zemichi I guess that it can still be viewed as a personal freedom thing. Instances have their block lists public most of the time, so I think signing up to an instance is equivalent to opting-in to the block, though I think there should be the option to opt-out of it too if there's the occasional ban they dislike.
A lot pf people came to fedi because they wanted a padded cell, that's what they opted into. As dumb of a decision I think it is, they should be free to make it. Chances are the kind of people you're complaining about not being able to reach are the kind of people who would've given you the Steve Shives treatment if instance blocking wasn't a thing. I just kind of accept it.
@zemichi I don't think I follow... What if said centralized service yeets somebody they don't like out of existence, isn't that in effect forcing people to not associate with someone?
@zemichi I'm fine with blocks, but not at the inter-instance level. Blocks should be up to the user. Instances can have a block recommendation list, but it should be up to the individual at the end of the day.
@igeljaeger It's like they see SorrowTV reading off reddit but miss the fact that his voice acting and almost improvised humor is what makes it watchable.
@igeljaeger The algorithm appears to have like a seperate list when I'm on a music video, though. When I'm just casually watching, it recommends me garbage text-to-speech reddit videos and a random H3 podcast from like three months ago that I stopped watching two minutes in.
@igeljaeger How often do I have to click "not interested" until google's retarded algorithm stope recommending me shit I've already fucking seen?
@matrix virgin Brianna Wu vs the chad Naomi Wu
@matrix It's great. Blaire's constantly trying to talk some sense into Yaniv, but they're either supremely dense or willingly ignoring her
@matrix Japan doesn't have a problem with mass shootings, correct, but they do have a problem with mass stabbings. I can see the look on every londoner's face when they realise that knives are in fact reusable.
@igeljaeger @alexgleason @a7
>German starting to talk about getting rid of people based on immutable characteristics
@igeljaeger @alexgleason @Julia@kiwifarms.cc @sjw@neckbeard.xyz When you have ALL THE SYNDROMES
@a7 @alexgleason @igeljaeger Well if it is a slippery slope, humanity has been on it for several thousand years at this point and we are still very much not eating other people.
@Kro You take that back right fucking now.
