@alyx Yeah, sadly the commitment to free speech is very much fake, I've several time read about pretty famous people getting fined for "hate speech" in Romania. Also, the National Council for Combating Discrimination needs to be Nuked.

However, Romania still seems way freer than most Western countries, due to most people rejecting political correctness and casual racism and sexism still being commonplace. Romanian media outlets also seem way more eager to allow anonymous comment sections than Western MSM outlets.
