Credit might be useful for you that one time, but it doesn't mean it isn't harmful to the economy in general, and maybe even to you, at all other times. It's like keeping Communism or Fascism around because it gets you a better house. And if you think my comparison is exaggerated, there are people in my country that still defend communism because it was so much easier to get a house.
