@posrev @arh @alex Florida has been open for months and has the same curve as the most restrictive states. There's not going to be a mess. The cure has been worse than the disease this whole pandemic and I don't understand why everyone is angry at Abbott for lifting restrictions that didn't work. Is the correct reaction to a failed course of action to double down and do it forever?

@wiggles @alex I realise this is a a catch 22 situation. I don’t like coronavirus restrictions either. I don’t think it’s expecting too much to wear a mask and have some basic precautions.

We are yet to see if the vaccine is effective. Hopefully this virus will fade away like the Spanish flu. @arh

@posrev @alex @arh controversial take but I don’t think the masks are effective and universal masking has a lot of downsides, as a random example, speech delays in small children who need to be able to see the lips of the adults speaking to them in grade school

@ew @alyx @posrev lol one of them contracted COVID from their daughter who got it at the office going in to drop off some paperwork and died within 24 hours and was previously healthy, just old, fuck you

@ew another one was in his 50s and was otherwise healthy, just overweight. Probably had 30 years left on him.

My wife also has a friend in his 30s who is suffering long-term lung problems from having the disease almost seven months ago
