Firstly one of the themes of the New Testament was the striking down of Oral Law and rabbinic scripture. Jesus continuously rebuked the Rabbis and other Pharisees throughout the NT on their Pharisaic Law. I believe southern baptists dedicate 20% of their sermons on what they call "the washing of the old law" which included the wrongful pharisaic laws(which weren't part of the Torah).

While following 613 commandments would be hard enough, over time Jewish leaders began to slowly add to these laws in the Mishnah (the English video for this topic mistakenly refers to the Mishnah as the Midrash; see excursus 1 below for more). This additional teaching is an ongoing compilation of sermons and sayings by Jewish rabbis meant to interpret the original Mosaic Law. The original intent of these additions was to clarify the law, but it ended up adding many layers of complicated regulations. This Mishanh was already lengthy in Jesus’s day and continues to grow to this day. So for the Pharisees, they not only tried to follow the 613 commandments of the Mosaic Law, but the literally thousands of new commandments that were created to clarify the original 613 commandments.

The Mishnah and the rabbinical scriptures are the oral traditions and laws you mention, and these were the things Jesus rebuked as being unholy and not of God but of men. One of the key points of the NT is that the Oral Laws were void from the start. That's why Christians kept the Old Testament but not the Mishnah and Oral Laws- they are explicitly void.

The Mishnah and rabbincal scriptures were the things that made the modern "Jew" who he is today. It teaches that goyim and animals or worse, to kill those who show the oral law to goyim, exceptions to violations of the commandments if perpetrated on a Gentile, et cetera. Those oral traditions were the ones cast out.
