Christians read both testaments but acknowledge there is updated understanding in the new testament.

Question: "What does it mean that Jesus fulfilled the law, but did not abolish it?"

Answer: Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished” (Matthew 5:17–18). This important statement of our Lord gives us insight into His mission and the character of God’s Word.

Jesus said this the the Pharisees' accusation that he came to destroy the law.

He is basically saying they did not understand how to apply Moses Laws and he showed by his actions and ministry how God wanted them applied.

E.g. they were quick to see a hooker stoned, but Jesus showed that they couldn't stone her when they were just as sinful.

I am just tired l, so tired, of seeing this misconception repeated.

Jews have their own "New Testament" it is the Talmud.

Christians have the "Christian Greak Scriptures" aka so called "New Testament".

Muslims have their Quran and Hadiths.


All the same base, but all different outcomes
