See, I was thinking of something entirely different. That's called a shaorma over here (shawarma for americans apparently).
This is what we call a kebab.

Yeah, I got it now, after seeing the end result. That's how they make shawarma over here too. Don't know what foul creature decided to call it "chicken doner kebab" for you guys, but I'm pretty sure "shawarma" is the proper name of the dish.

The hard part is, that normally, they slice only the dry meat off A huge meat stick over the day, you avery piece of meat is perfectly made.
And that seems hard to do in the constraints of a single meal.
