Publishers and developers won't give up on the idea of including NFTs into games. So they'll first normalize them via the more popular games/franchises.
Most likely Fortnite will be one of the first games to get it, followed closely by a Call of Duty title.

Rainbow six was as normie as you can get with trying something this risky.
They will try again, but the core issue is, that the technology is laughably bad for making money.
I know this anecdote is filling the entire internet right now, but you can hype up a fucking tulip. Speculative investment was part of shiny hat trading for ages. NFTs make it complicated and actually scarier, then in-game market place.
