From some footage I've seen, yes. I can see some use when you're just grinding lower level areas, but overall it seems like a bad idea. Not sure how they're doing the catching mechanic now.

@alyx Grinding in low level areas is a single-button grind anyway, so pressing "auto-battle" is pointless :D
