Internet is very weird for me right now.
International download speeds seem to be very inconsistent. I'm either getting my full contract speed (usually to EU capitals) or less than 1Mbps to anything else.
At the same time upload speed is just fine everywhere around the world.
The result seems to be that fedi has reached a record low loading speed for me.
@LaoBan
No, it seems to be down to my ISP.
I've tested through speedtest.net on various international servers. And for cases where speedtest.net returned <1Mbps on cable, the same server got good speeds on my phone network.
I just can't really figure out what could be the issue, to where some servers can get 200-500Mbps, but others in the same country <1Mbps. I literally got a case where London gives me either 500Mbps or 0.6Mbps from one test server to another.
@Suiseiseki
Do you like to stalk people or something?
@icedquinn @Suiseiseki
I'm sure it is, but considering he's not actually following me, and this is the 3rd time he did this (and quite promptly so), I can only conclude he is stalking people. In which case I'm thinking about blocking him.
@icedquinn @Suiseiseki
P.S. I've tried speedtest-cli before. It's utter shit. It can't even find a fast server to test against in my own country.
@icedquinn @Suiseiseki
The only thing it's good for is testing your internal network. But I can do that just fine with a file transfer.
@Suiseiseki
Sure buddy. Take your proprietary radar super power somewhere else.
@Suiseiseki
Jackasses like you make me want to use Windows.
Use speedtest-cli, which is also better in every other way.
