I remember reading an article on it some years back, but can't say I remember much of it. The conclusion was that no one new for sure, but they listed a few key "candidates" and why they could/couldn't be Satoshi, and I remember Asian being a common feature.

Can't say I know one way or another. Eventually we reach a point were a particular question becomes relevant: if someone/something manages to simulate intelligent thought well enough, how can you distinguish between actual intelligence and a simulation or AI or whatever. If Helen Keller was that good at repeating whatever she was told to, how can we be sure it was just repetition and not her actual thoughts?

Dictated, sure. Whether the thoughts themselves actually originated from her, or she just basically repeated what she was taught, that I don't now. Even today plenty of kids come out of university saying and writing a lot of marxist bs. Doesn't mean the ideas are their own.

This Helen Keller discussion made me wonder, why don't we get more conspiracy theories about really old events. Like what if Jesus only staged his death? What if Cesar never died, and really was a god, and retired to Argentina? What if Atlantis participated in a conspiracy, and the other conspiring nations had to sunk it because Atlantians were trying to spill out the truth?

Honestly, I could believe that. From what I remember about her story, is that she couldn't communicate with anyone until she was like 5-7 years old. Children lost in wilderness and recovered late in their development like this are really hard to be raised properly and usually lack the full intellectual development of an adult human. So I can definitely see Helen Keller be ripe for all sorts of manipulation.
