I still have more fun replaying something like Half-Life or Dead Space, inherently linear but well choreographed games, than spending hundreds of hours in even the best open world games that will inherently have a lot of dead air.

A linear experience is more condensed and focused, and is better able to provide an emotional impact. I like spending dozens of hours in Elder Scrolls or Fallout games, but I don't exactly pour my eyes out when a character dies.

Open world games inherently provide something else, the joy of exploration. But if you're doing it wrong, it's very easy to take that away too, and create a different kind of linearity through mission/quest waypoints. But because you've wasted time on the open world, it's very possible that this linearity isn't polished either, so you're left with the worst of both worlds.

Would be a weird thing to think, seeing how we're usually the ones to feed them. But at the same time, it's not like humans feed them raw meat, so maybe they do think we can't hunt for fresh meat.

It really blew my mind when I found out cats only communicate by meowing with us or their kittens. Can't decide on whether they think of humans as children, or are smart enough to realize we can't perceive their normal methods of talking to one another.

I find bengal cats interesting, but mostly because they still have a nice fur pattern and similar aspect to a tabby, they're also closer to a wild variety and smarter.

Parents smoke. My brother smoked. I have an uncle that smokes. A cousin that is trying to give up. A lot of smokers in my family. I never managed to get into it. I gave it a try, but it wasn't for me.

Don't know much about cat breeds. If anything, unlike with dogs, I prefer normal, common cats, tabbies.

I don't really care that people smoke, but I can indeed smell it from very far away. It's strange how sensitive my nose is. I do have some weird days, when the smoke makes it hard for me to breath, almost like chocking. Not sure why, it doesn't even happen when the smoker is actually near me, but rather when the smoke is diluted.

People seem to be unaware that, unlike dogs, little pet cats and big cats (lions, tigers, etc) are basically the same. Pet cats are A LOT less tame than any dog breed you can think of. Couple that with how felines are inherently more solitary creatures than canines, and it makes sense that you do need to be more careful with them.

For me it would be the easiest to shit on him, cause I was never a fan of his music, and I care even less about his Christian phase. But if you enjoyed his old stuff, there's nothing wrong with still liking it. And there's nothing wrong with not liking his new career trajectory, as plenty of artists change up their style all the time and lose the old following. Just leave him be, let him do his stuff, and you do your stuff. It's that easy.
