@Chronomemes
It was loss all along.
Ignore Rubin, cause... well... Rubin. Even I don't find him interesting. Just watch the Ted Cruz clips.
@Tankenator1
Yup. That's the guy I was thinking about then. My understanding is that the claim is he only has difficulty processing speech. But considering that's strictly a brain function issue, not that he has any problems with his ears, I think it is perfectly reasonable to be in doubt about the condition of his other mental faculties. For all we know, he's a Biden 2.0 waiting to happen.
@Koppa
Bringing ozone hole in a climate discussion shows just how ignorant you are. Completely unrelated issues, that are caused by completely different things, and have completely different effects. Thanks for trying.
@wolf480pl @LukeAlmighty
>perfectly fine
Tell that to the 4090 connectors that have started to melt.
Sure, theoretically you could push the wires to be even thinner. The connectors are the actual weak link. But thin wires means small flimsy connectors. And we're already seeing what just 450w can do right now to the new connector spec.
@Koppa @adam
I'm a bit curious about what they say.
Leaving that aside, I'm someone who thinks global warming (or climate change if you prefer that term) is real. I'm also convinced it is human caused. Aaaaand, I absolutely hate shit like this. It's the most puerile, childish, and useless thing you could do. Not only does it not help convince anyone about the facts of the matter, or that we need to take action, it actively drives people away. The WORST thing that has happened in our attempts to not destroy the environment has been Greta Thunberg. And from this I see people aren't done trying to completely destroy the cause.
@LukeAlmighty
LTTs latest video shows you can still (just barely) power the 4090 with a 650W PSU (at least if it's an actual good PSU, from a good brand), so no all is lost. But yeah, even 1000W doesn't sound like overkill anymore.
@GNUxeava
They won't for 2 reasons:
1) big number better
2) consumers are too dumb to make conversions from Ah to mAh to compare different products, which leads back to reason 1.
@LukeAlmighty
I was kinda thinking in this general direction yesterday. My PC is a bit older, so it doesn't draw 1000W like a proper gaming rig. I doubt I can make it draw 400W, but it has a proper THICK boy cable to the wall socket for those 400W, but we expect some thin, probably braided, cables to do 600W for a GPU? And why 12 pins, if all you're giving the GPU is the same 12v in all of them?
Fucking redesign PSUs from the ground up already, fewer pins for GPU, but have them massive, cause at this point the GPU is the main power user in your build.
@thunderbird
Thanks, I hate it.
@Moon
>perhaps they don't have a problem with it
Nah, normal people just don't care that he's furthering his career suicide.
