I'm not saying that a lot of them aren't weirdly fitting all the stereotypes, but that's true of all races or ethnicities.

But the difference ultimately is that fixation on past accusations. People see coincidences today, and immediately connect them with past claims of Jews being cabals etc. Most other ethnicities don't have that history to connect today's happenings to.

We can just as easily find coincidences and evidence for power greed for Germans for instance, but at best you could make a connection to the Nazis, and it stops there. That's not a lot of history of "look how evil they are" to be that impactful.

Jews get blamed, because they were blamed in the past. They've been stuck in this repetitive circle for probably thousands of years.

It's always a matter of searching for a scapegoat for society's ills, not finding an easy solution, and then suddenly remembering that about 50-100 years ago, people were really paranoid about "muh juice". So they latch on to it again for some easy and cheap catharsis.

At the very least it goes back to the days of early Christianity, when Jews were blamed for Jesus' crucifixion.

Don't think they can get NATO involved, as they're completely separate organizations. And I don't think UN has enough military force under it's jurisdiction to do anything... for now.

But I see it as a way to justify exiling Putin after the war ends. (they of course assume Ukraine will win)

Sure, Islam should be made more secular. But that's not what the Western world is currently demanding of it. Criticism of Muslims and Islam seems at an all time low recently.

If you think I want Christianity to be more strict, or to return to more fundamental practices, I don't. Don't misunderstand me. I'm just not naive, to think that the way we non-religious or non-Christians are treating them and their faith can't or won't have a consequence, in the form of an undesirable backlash. And I don't think it's gonna be something as simple as they'll make their own religion more strict. What I fear is on the level of political ramifications.

Criticize Christianity where it needs to be criticized, cause there are still things that deserve criticism. But attacks like this, really serve no purpose other than being antagonistic and blasphemous on purpose.

If it were an one-off, or if it were applied equally to all major religions, I wouldn't care. But I'm seeing more and more such cheap shots targeted at Christians lately, from what I can only assume are members of my overall non-religious "tribe", that I simply do not agree with, and I feel compelled by my own values to say something.
