There is no long term research on this insanity. There is no long term research on the effects of long term use of puberty blockers. The drugs themselves were only meant to be used on short term, and even in those cases we already know they can have long term negative side effects.
And we have more than enough studies on gender dysphoria in children, that show that anywhere between 50-90% of children diagnosed with gender dysphoria actually grow OUT OF IT once they pass puberty.
And it shouldn't take a rocket scientists to figure out that if you put a stop to puberty, those 50-90% of children will never get cured via that natural process, and are likely to be put through extra hormone treatments that they wouldn't have needed otherwise, leading them to a life of needless extra struggle and misery.

Counterpoint: you're a moron.
You're advocating for a medical treatment, when you literally cannot establish that the patient actually suffers from a mental disorder that would require that treatment.
And you cannot establish that the patient suffers from the disorder, because there is no objective means to diagnose it, and the only form of diagnosis relies deeply on the person itself understanding their sex, their gender, and the relationship between their sex and gender. Things that a minor simply would not be able to grasp.
As such, any attempt to diagnose this mental disorder would undeniably result in child abuse that is likely much more serious.
And that's ignoring the fact that the supposed treatment looks less and less like it's actually safe to use anyway. So it can also be argued, that pushing an unproven treatment is the actual abusive stance to take.
@icedquinn @rimugu
Except, that's kinda false. Cause it's not adults that are taking this. And it's something that trans advocates (that are not necessarily transpeople themselves) that are pushing for this to be an acceptable treatment for children.
Transpeople (i.e. adults) don't give a fuck about Lupron, cause they don't have a use for a puberty blocker in their HRT treatment.
@rimugu
Playing devil's advocate: it's not uncommon for the same medication or drug to have different effects based on the dosage used.
Use high dosage Lupron, and you completely burn out the hormonal system permanently, to achieve chemical castration.
Low dosage Lupron, impedes the hormonal system, but doesn't irreversibly affect it.
End of playing devil's advocate.
Personally, I'm not convinced that using it in low dosage has no negative effect, or even no serious negative effect, on the bodies of children.
In any case, to me this whole question is a moot point anyway, as children simply don't have the mental capacity to understand matters of gender and sex. As such they can't possibly know for sure that a "trans" identity would fit themselves for the rest of their life, and they also can't consent to these procedures.

My thought too. But there's also the possibility of working via reverse psychology. You see the stickers, refuse to acknowledge that you're fat, and take the stairs out of stubbornness.
@coolboymew
Shouldn't it be the other way around? Get fat people to do some exercise? Also, I'd say concrete steps are gonna be sturdier and resist the excess weight better.

But I thought you can't win The Game, only lose it.

I'm not a huge fan of the generic retro synthwave look, but libs are definitely just mad. It's not any worse than any other forced "look we intentionally made something look old" thing.
