Suicide and infanticide. It's not unusual unfortunately for new mothers to kill themselves together with the newborn. The hormones makes them go temporarily insane.

If it were a "suicide" or "accident", it's unlikely the infant would have fallen too. People might be monsters, but there aren't that many monsters that would kill an infant while sane.

My guess is not really, because the gpu would still need to calculate all the polygons, even if it gets to later on ignore the textures. If your system is primarily limited by memory, I guess you'd see improvements, but in my experience memory by itself is rarely the biggest problem that lowers fps.

@allison @rysiek Reverse chronological is the way to go. It should always be the default option. Fedi is more like a chat room. The danger with Reddit/HackerNews/Facebook/Twitter is their ranking algos help determine what you see, which determines what people think.

You know what the human mind is fractured now? Because there are a lot of people who tune out the news and social media and don't live in this fear-porn reality they keep pushing.

This is how I usually do it. :peepoShrug:

There, I fixed it for you.

Maybe there's some truth to the original title too, after all any cult will inevitably do the same things overall to its members. And while I'm sure there's some cult following surrounding Trump too, I honestly don't understand what "trumpism" is supposed to be. I have yet to see a definition of this supposed phenomenon that is distinguishable from every day conservatives.

>your eyes begging for me

You have an interesting imagination, I'll give you that.

@TheAncestor
I honestly don't get where you'd get the idea that this would work... but ok...

@icedquinn @r000t
1) It doesn't have to be. Only reason it does is: unoptimized crap apps.
2) What's the bigger issue: a piece of software you use for a few hours every once in a while, or the crap that runs all day long?

@icedquinn @r000t
>do you happen to know if webshit actually even uses nvenc

I guess the real question there is how much of the GPU's hardware acceleration capabilities can browsers access.

Although, if you use webshit for video conferencing, instead of actual installable software, the issue goes back to using unoptimized crap and ram guzzling tabs in my view.
I forgot to put bloated, badly made websites into the original list. Webshit conferencing would also qualify.
