The way I see it, it's a shame, cause Nokia did use to have something special before the smartphone days. Even under Microsoft, they still had something as being THE Windows phone.

I guess a positive for their current Android lineup, is that from the few Nokias I've seen in the wild, they're closer to stock Android than most.

I said they're not bad . I can't sugar coat it more than that. Other brands each have something going for them: Sony is multi-media, Samsung is the Apple wannabe and has a good camera, Motorola is for the budget, Nokia... doesn't excel at anything. Hence, mediocre. Average. It has a little bit of everything, but not an expert on anything.

It's not his fault. It's just how the internet is.

If you intended to make Linux an exclusivity thing, where only the top of the top geeks were allowed to even approach it, then it makes sense to have a shitty mascot.

Worst defense for the bad Linux mascot: "but they meant for the mascot to be something ugly and non-commercial".

... The entire idea behind even choosing a mascot, is to get people to want to try your product. You're literally saying you intended on driving people away from Linux while you're also complaining that too many people use Windows and proprietary software.
